Last summer I had my first real try at fishing, but it was just a small freshwater lake near home with some basic gear. Now I’m thinking about taking it to another level and maybe trying sea fishing in Seychelles when I go on vacation there. Honestly, I have no clue how to get ready for something like that. Do I need to bring my own equipment or is it usually provided? And how about seasickness — is that something beginners struggle with a lot? I’d really like to make the trip enjoyable rather than stressful, so any tips for preparation would be awesome.

I’m not really into fishing myself, but I always enjoy reading these kinds of threads. It’s interesting how different the experience sounds compared to what most of us are used to in daily life. The ocean, the boats, and the idea of being out there for hours with nothing but waves and sky — it all seems like a pretty unique adventure, even if you’re just going along for the ride rather than fishing.
